Project cancelled

TLDR; Can't make a project like this alone.

After making changes over and over again since 2017 and never actually making something playable, i have decided that the best choice for now is to "declare" the project as dead/cancelled.  There are several reasons for that, and one of them is not being actually conscious about what actually takes to make a game with the quality i had in mind and how hard it is.

To put it in a simple way: I'm just a programmer, not a game designer, level designer, musician, 2D or 3D artist. Yes, perhaps they sound like excuess since i post art on DeviantArt, i make renders and also made the Android SLC-56 character for the game and also its OST, but art is not my main focus, making art is actually overwhelming for me because i focus too much on small details that nobody will ever notice or care about. My whole purpose was trying to bring something that already exists to life, because i had someone that could help me to make 3D models, however that is not the case anymore.  And as an addition i said "Well, i cannot make art, buti can do an application that handles the game's updates or at least a website, right?", well, i wasn't wrong, GitHub and other stuff i've learnt did help on making something that can be up to date, but maintaining these applications plus maintaining the actual game was adding more weight to the stuff i had to actually do.

Why do i think it was the right choice?

Well, i still don't know if it is the right choice, but at least if i cancelled it, i could stop making promises that i will not be able to handle, many people was waiting for it and that is something i did not expect to happen that way.

So, what's next?

TLDR2; Making new original games from the existing game's assets.

Of course that i will keep making games in the future, i can't just press the DELETE button on this project because it has ton of utilities i've built over the years to make a new game. My plans for this is turning at some point the code i wrote for this game into individual assets, and then being able to make brand new games with my own assets, as well as sharing them with people who wants to build their games too. I currently have a discord server for game developers and artists to hangout and share, you can join here.

For now i think i need to just plan and decide before i act, the main issue was me uploading videos since the very early stages of the development and generating expectations/hype thinking i could be able to do it. I am currently studying a programming career, I will continue making games, art and music without the interest of doing something big, but instead having fun by sharing ideas and spending time with other small creators.
